Our preschool program and childcare programs are designed to ensure that each child is presented with opportunities to grow socially, emotionally, physically, academically, and independently. By working together with parents/guardians, we strive to develop positive self-esteem and a joy for learning in each child.

About Our School

It is our role as teachers to encourage and teach fundamental skills, such as early literacy skills, basic math skills, and social-emotional readiness. Our programs will use curiosity, trial and error, hands-on activities, creative discovery centers, and child-based curriculum to make learning fun, positive, and meaningful. 

Our teachers facilitate the learning process in an environment filled with collaboration, respect, diversity, and high expectations. We believe that parents, family, and community all play a vital role in a student's success. By supporting an open-door policy, we encourage both families and our community to participate in the teaching of our students, both inside and outside of the classrooms.

To better help the needs of our families and community members, we offer numerous childcare and learning programs. We offer Preschool, Full-Care, School Age Care, Toddler Care, Infant Care, Summer Care, and Drop-In Care. Some of our programs are year-round, while others are only part of a year. No matter what program you choose, we guarantee that your child will be in a developmentally appropriate program that encourages learning through play.

Meet the Owner

Sheryl Howard (aka Ms. Sheri)

Growing up, I always had a passion for fostering welcoming environments for children to thrive. Because of this passion, I am a proud mother of 3 children. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Family Life Education and an Associate's of Arts in Early Childhood Education. I have been in the childcare field for over 40 years and own 3 childcare centers (Dansville Preschool & Child Development Center, Mason Preschool & Childcare Center, and Bailey Preschool & Childcare Center).

I went into the field of working with children because of the negative experiences I had with my own children in childcare. My hope is that my centers are places where families can feel safe taking their children. Each of my centers shares the goal of encouraging children to grow and learn in a nurturing environment, where they can explore and be themselves in a comfortable, home-like atmosphere.
